Women of Faith

The United Methodists Women of Faith Committee is a group that comprises of single, divorced and widowed church members , It provides Christ-centered emotional, spiritual, and practical support . They serve as a safe fellowship space, helping members navigate loss, access necessary resources, and build renewed, purposeful lives

1. Emotional and Spiritual Support

Grief Counseling:

Providing safe, Christ-centered small groups where widows and widowers can share their stories and process their pain

Prayer and Retreats:

Organizing regular prayer gatherings, camps, and retreats to uplift spirits and provide a strong, loving sisterhood or brotherhood

2. Practical Assistance and Care

Daily Needs Assistance:

Helping members with overwhelming household tasks, such as home maintenance, running errands, and delivering meals.

Community Building:

Hosting regular fellowships, banquets, and outings to reduce social isolation and create a sense of extended family.

3. Advocacy and Empowerment

Legal and Inheritance Rights:

Facilitating training with legal experts to educate members on property rights, inheritance, and maintenance issues.

Income-Generating Projects:

Equipping widows with vocational training and skills for self-reliance to overcome poverty and financial vulnerability.
