Zimbabwe Episcopal Area

The United Methodist Church (UMC) in Zimbabwe falls under the massive Zimbabwe Episcopal Area (serving Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, and Botswana) ZZMBEA led by Resident Bishop Gift Kudakwashe Machinga.

National & Connectional Ministries

Aside from the regional conferences, several church-wide ministries and fellowships host their own annual conferences, general assemblies, and conventions across the country.

These include:

MUMC: (Men’s Union / Men of the United Methodist Church)

RRW: (Ruwadzano RweWadzimai - Women’s Organization)

UMYF: (United Methodist Youth Fellowship)

JSS: (Junior Sunday School)

Quadrennial Theme: "See, I am doing a new thing... " (Isaiah 43:19)

The country is divided geographically into two primary Annual Conferences, which serve as the highest regional legislative bodies.

Zimbabwe East Annual Conference (ZEAC)

Jurisdiction: Covers the Eastern and Northeastern parts of Zimbabwe.

Headquarters/Contact: 133 Herbert Chitepo Street, Mutare.

Districts Included: Mutare, Old Mutare, Chitungwiza-Marondera, Makoni-Buhera, Mutasa-Nyanga, Mutoko-Mudzi, and Marange.

Key Events: They regularly host large conventions and revivals (like the Children's Ministries and RRW revivals) at primary mission centers like Old Mutare and Mufusire Campsite

Zimbabwe West Annual Conference (ZWAC)

Jurisdiction: Covers the Western, Northern, and Southern Regions of Zimbabwe.

Headquarters/Contact: 10 Harvey Brown, Milton Park, Harare, Zimbabwe.

Districts Included: Harare East, Harare West, Harare Central, Bulawayo-Midlands, and Murewa-UMP.

Key Events: Frequent district conventions, volunteer annual general meetings, and women’s (RRW) revivals held at major sites like Darwendale and Nyadire Campsite.
